Second WV resident arrested in connection with Maryland murder

ROMNEY, W.Va. — A second West Virginia resident has been charged with murder in the recent death of a Maryland man.

According to police, Jackie Upole, 35, of Levels, is in custody on murder and related charges in connection with the May 30 death of Antonio Rollins, 25, in Allegany County, Maryland.

Upole allegedly drove co-defendant Dylan Moyers, 21, of Romney, to Cumberland, Maryland where Moyers allegedly killed Rollins.

Investigators allege the fatal shooting was over drugs. They found evidence at the scene indicating Moyers stole a large sum of drugs, Rollins’ cell phone, wallet, and cash.

Moyers was arrested in Romney last Tuesday. Upole turned herself in at the Romney State Police detachment last Friday.
