ELKINS, W.Va. — State police working the West Virginia Turnpike arrested two drivers Friday who were allegedly pulling RV campers that were stolen from a dealer’s lot in Randolph County.
WVVA-TV reported Friday the drivers were stopped by troopers in Mercer County after they had driven through the North Beckley Toll Plaza at U.S. Route 19 without paying a toll.
A total of four RV campers were stolen from Roy’s RV Supercenter in Elkins at around 1 a.m. Friday. Troopers said there’s a national theft ring involving RVs.
The stolen RVs are worth nearly $221,000.
