A dozen new Covid 19 cases

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Figures from the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources indicate a dozen new cases of Covid 19 were reported in West Virginia in Saturday’s morning release.

The DHHR reports there have been 5,772 cases of the virus detected since March. Today there are 1,591 active cases of the virus in the state. The daily positive rate was at 3.57%. The cumulative rate is 2.26%.

Officials report a total of 76 Covid 19 patients hospitalized with 37 in intensive care. Fifteen of those patients are on a ventilator.
