CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The number of coronavirus cases in West Virginia increased by 115 between Saturday and Sunday mornings.
According to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, there are 5,887 probable and confirmed cases of the coronavirus in West Virginia as of its 10 a.m. report. The daily rate of positive cases Sunday morning was 2.52% compared to the cumulative rate of 2.27%.
Of the confirmed cases, 1,643 cases are active.
The department also reported Sunday morning 80 people are hospitalized, 35 people are in the intensive care unit and 11 people are on ventilators.
