Police seek suspect in early morning murder

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Police are on the hunt of a man wanted for an early morning shooting death in the Capital City.

Clarence Haley Jr. , 24, of Charleston is being sought on warrants for first degree murder.

Police were called to a residence on 7th Avenue in Charleston around 1 a.m. Wednesday. There the victim, Ronell Huff, 43, of Charleston, was found with a gunshot wound to the chest. He later died at a local hospital.

Police say the two had gotten into an argument and Haley pulled the handgun and shot Huff.

Police are actively searching for Haley and are asking for the public’s help in locating him.
