LOGAN, W.Va. — Students in Logan County will continue with remote learning next week even if the county is allowed to have face-to-face lessons.
The Logan County Board of Education discussed the ability to have in-person classes during its meeting Thursday. The county moved to the gold category of the state’s school alert system map this week, meaning the school system could have face-to-face lessons if officials wanted.
Logan County Schools began the school year with virtual lessons because of the high number of coronavirus cases in the county.
All extracurricular activities, including sporting events, are on hold until further notice.
The board will meet again on Sept. 22 to discuss the possibilities of having face-to-face classes.
