18 football games canceled in Week 6 due to new state COVID map

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — As a result of the new state COVID protocols map, 18 football games have been taken off the Week 6 schedule for next weekend.

Boone, Harrison and Upshur counties are listed in orange.

Berkeley, Doddridge, Jackson, Kanawha, Nicholas and Wyoming counties are listed in gold. Teams in these counties can reschedule games against other gold county teams.

Games canceled involving teams in orange counties:

  • Bridgeport at Preston
  • Robert C. Byrd at Liberty Harrison
  • South Harrison at Ritchie County
  • Lincoln at Sissonville
  • Buckhannon-Upshur at Lewis County
  • Logan at Scott
  • Mount View at Van
  • Hannan at Sherman

Games canceled involving teams in gold counties:

  • East Fairmont at Philip Barbour
  • Roane County at Elkins
  • Pendleton County at Tygarts Valley
  • Gilmer County at Doddridge County
  • South Charleston at Parkersburg
  • Wayne at Herbert Hoover
  • Nitro at Clay County
  • Capital at Parkersburg South
  • Wahama at Ravenswood
