Couple indicted for Boone County fires

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Kanawha Valley couple has been indicted for allegedly starting wildfires in February 2019.

Lovell Ruben Holstine and Katie Jean Holstine, both of Emmons, were charged on one count each of setting fires to lands of another and conspiracy. Both charges are felonies.

A Boone County grand jury determined there was probable cause for filing criminal charges.

The fires, which happened in the Dartmont area, burned 20 acres of forested land and 35.2 acres of non-forested land.
