DHHR reports 280 new COVID cases as testing events continue Sunday, Monday

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 280 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours Sunday morning.

In the DHHR’s report, it indicated 20,081 total cases as of Sunday with 4,940 cases being active. The daily percent positivity rose from 2.51% on Saturday to 2.56%.

The statewide death toll for the virus remained at 399.


Free testing continues throughout the state on Sunday and into Monday.
