Clarksburg nursing resident dies from coronavirus

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A coronavirus outbreak at a Clarksburg nursing facility has left one person dead.

According to the Clarksburg-Harrison Health Department, a resident of the River Oaks Nursing Facility has died. Twenty-three residents and three staff members have also tested positive for the coronavirus.

The state Department of Health and Human Resource on Wednesday reported active outbreaks at three other facilities; a staff member at the Bridgeport Healthcare Center is recovering, while an employee of the Clarksburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has recovered.

Two people associated with Meadowview Manor in Bridgeport have died. Nineteen cases involving residents and employees remain active.
