Jackson County fire department suspends operations due to equipment problems

JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. — A Jackson County fire department has voluntarily suspended itself to address equipment-related problems

The State Fire Marshal’s Office recently visited the Cottageville Volunteer Fire Department, noting problems related to equipment.

Jackson County 911 has worked with other fire departments to ensure the fire department’s service area is covered.
