Marquee showdown between WVU & Baylor is postponed

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The historic winter storm in Texas has led to the postponement of Wednesday’s showdown between the top two women’s basketball teams in the Big 12.

The matchup between No. 19 West Virginia (16-3, 10-3 Big 12) and No. 7 Baylor (16-2, 11-1 Big 12), scheduled for Wednesday in Waco has been postponed due to weather. No makeup date has yet been set. Baylor and WVU are currently first and second respectively in the Big 12 standings. The Bears defeated WVU, 65-45 on December 10.

The Mountaineers are scheduled to return to action Saturday afternoon in their Senior Day matchup at the Coliseum vs. TCU (8-10, 3-10 Big 12). Six Big 12 teams have had a game postponed due to this storm.
