Man dies in workplace accident

HAZELTON, W.Va. — A man was killed Wednesday in a worksite accident in Preston County.

According to the Preston County Sheriff’s Department, a worker at Grant County Mulch located near Hazelton fell into a piece of machinery and was unresponsive.

The sheriff’s department and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are investigating.

The victim was 27-years-old. His name was not immediately released.
