State Supreme Court denies appeal from former Harrison County deputy

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — The state Supreme Court of Appeals has denied an appeal from a former Harrison County sheriff’s deputy for a new trial related to convictions for falsifying drug purchase accounts.

Timothy Rock was found guilty for falsifying accounts and conspiracy after informants testified Rock gave them heroin and allowed them to keep a portion of drugs purchased in law enforcement-monitored transactions.

Rock was convicted in Harrison County Circuit Court and U.S. District Court. He appealed both convictions.

Rock is scheduled to be released from the Ohio County Correctional Center in 2027.
