Last week, Weidman narrowed his top three list to WVU, Indiana and Nebraska. He received a scholarship offer from the Mountaineers on September 24, 2020. Weidman holds 22 scholarship offers, including Arizona State, Army, Boston College, Buffalo, Connecticut, Duke, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Massachusetts, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Navy, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Temple.
Dexter Southfield went 7-2 in their last completed season in the fall of 2019. Weidman is listed as a 3-star recruit by Rivals.com.
Weidman is the second offensive lineman to commit to WVU’s next class. Pittsburgh native Charlie Katarincic gave his verbal commitment last month. Spring Valley product Corbin Page is also in the recruiting class.
