Old Dominion transfer Malik Curry commits to WVU

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — For the second time in four days, WVU has received a verbal commitment from a transfer from a Conference USA school. Old Dominion point guard Malik Curry announced on social media that he will join the Mountaineers.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Curry was named a second-team All-Conference USA selection in his senior season with the Monarchs. He averaged 15.6 points per game while dishing out 71 assists. As a junior, Curry averaged 13.4 points per game with 128 assists.

The Wilmington, Del. native started his college career by playing two seasons at Palm Beach State.

Florida International transfer Dimon Carrigan committed to the Mountaineers on Monday. Juniors Jordan McCabe and Emmitt Matthews previously announced their intentions to transfer from West Virginia.
