Stoffel tosses 2-hit shutout, St. Albans stays perfect with 8-0 win at University

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Kendall Stoffel struck out 14 batters and allowed just two hits as St. Albans blanked University 8-0 Saturday morning at Mylan Park. The Red Dragons (7-0) also defeated Morgantown 4-2 Friday night in the two-game road trip.

Stoffel walked four batters but only faced multiple baserunners in one inning, the seventh. St. Albans broke a scoreless stalemate with a 3-run fifth and they tacked on five more in the seventh. Jaden Conrad and Bailey Gilbert had multi-hit games for the Red Dragons.

Autumn Stemple went the distance for the Hawks (5-4), striking out six batters.
