State softball tournament scores & schedules

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — 12 teams have advanced to the WVSSAC State Softball Tournament, which will be played at Little Creek Park in South Charleston from June 22-23. The tournament will use a double elimination format and opening round matchups are predetermined on an annual rotation of regional champions.

Class AAA (All games at Rock Field B)

Tuesday, June 22:

Game 1 – St. Albans 3, John Marshall 0

Game 2 – Cabell Midland 1, Washington 0

Game 3 – Washington 5, John Marshall 4 – John Marshall eliminated 

Game 4 – Cabell Midland 3, St. Albans 2

Wednesday, June 23:

Game 5 – St. Albans 5, Washington 0 – Washington eliminated

Game 6 – Cabell Midland 3, St. Albans 0

Wednesday, June 23:

Game 5 – Herbert Hoover 10, Sissonville 0 (6 innings) – Sissonville eliminated
