Investigation of multiple break-ins in Monongalia County yields arrests

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Detectives have made two arrests in connection with multiple break-ins in Monongalia County.

According to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department, Jeremy Hunter, 24, and Tristen Harvey, 24, both local residents, have each been charged with three counts of breaking and entering and one count of conspiracy.

The investigation began when detectives noticed a trend in business break-ins about six months ago. Detectives used video surveillance and forensic evidence to tie the pair to the crimes.

The men have been implicated in break-ins at the Par-Mar on Grafton Road, Morgantown Collision, Fujiyama on Venture Drive, Burger King- Cheat Lake, Frosted Mug, Dinsmore Tire, White Tail Crossing, The Pines, Casa D’ Amici on Mid-Atlantic Drive, Big Easy Lounge, Drafts, Amedisys, PJ’s Hotspot and the Cheat Lake Library.

The investigation is ongoing.
