GRAFTON, W.Va. — A criminal complaint filed in connection with a Taylor County murder provides additional information that led to charges being filed against a Marion County man.
Authorities arrested Joshua Price, 29, of Farmington, Wednesday in connection to June 26 death of 26-year-old Tyler Poston. Authorities said Poston was shot multiple times, and his body was found along U.S. Route 119 near the border of Taylor and Monongalia counties.
According to the criminal complaint, investigators found five .22-caliber pistol shell casings at the crime scene. When they made contact with Price, authorities located a similar shell casing in front of Price’s truck. Investigators impounded the vehicle pending a search warrant of its contents.
Authorities also found two other used .22 caliber shell casings fired by Price from a handgun on the property, the criminal complaint said.
An investigation determined the shell casings from all three locations were fired from the same weapon.
Price is being held at the North Central Regional Jail without bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 16.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Poston Saturday.
