WVSP: Wayne County woman admits to killing another woman, concealing her body

BRANCHLAND, W.Va. — A Wayne County woman has admitted to authorities that she murdered another woman and concealed her body in a trash bag.

According to the West Virginia State Police (WVSP), Carry Nicole Ramney, 28 of Branchland, confessed to the murder of Tina G. Adkins 58, of Branchland, on Tuesday.

Troopers responded around 9 a.m. Tuesday to a deceased body call on Berry Branch Drive in Branchland, off Raccoon Creek Road in Wayne County.

According to WVSP, Adkins was reported missing from the area on Monday. A news release from WVSP further stated that Adkins’ body was found concealed in a trash bag at the home of Ramey by family members of Adkins.

WVSP said Ramey was arrested on charges of murder and concealment of a deceased body.

An investigation is ongoing.
