Person killed after being struck by train in Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — One person was struck and killed by a train Saturday afternoon in Charleston.

It happened in the 1200 block of MacCorkle Avenue near the Southside Bridge across the Kanawha River from downtown Charleston.

The deadly collision happened at about 12:45 p.m.

Charleston police are investigating.
