UPDATE: Inmate back in custody

UPDATE 7 a.m. Tuesday — Taylor is back in custody.

GRAFTON, W.Va. — Taylor County authorities are looking for a 59-year-old man previously convicted of first-degree murder.

According to law enforcement, Donald Lee Taylor was able to escape from authorities on Monday while at the Taylor County Courthouse in Grafton.

Taylor was convicted of first-degree murder in 1989 after fatally stabbing a man.

Authorities describe Taylor as 5 feet, 10 inches tall with salt-and-pepper hair and hazel eyes. He was wearing an orange jumpsuit at the time of the incident.
