BECKLEY, W.Va. — One person was killed and another injured in a double shooting that happened on Mother’s Day at a Beckley hotel.
The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department said the shootings occurred in a third floor room at the Country Inn and Suites on Harper Road Sunday afternoon.
According to investigators, one person was dead at the scene and the other person, who was also shot, was taken to an area hospital.
The names of those involved have not been released.
