MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — It took two games and 19 innings Monday for University to secure its Class AAA Region I, Section 2 championship, but the Hawks did just that.

After suffering a 7-4 loss to Bridgeport in 13 innings, UHS bounced back to beat the Tribe 10-2 in a winner-take-all six-inning affair.

The Hawks now await John Marshall or Morgantown in regional play for the right to advance to the state tournament.
