Wyoming County grocery store shooting leads to arrest

LONG BRANCH, W.Va. — A man faces charges after a shooting at a Wyoming County grocery store.

Stevie Hatfield, of Wyoming County, was arrested Saturday afternoon after allegedly shooting someone at Morgan’s Grocery in Long Branch, according to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the shooting happened after an argument.

Hatfield was charged with malicious wounding and unlawfully possessing a firearm.

The victim was hospitalized at Charleston Area Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
