A man on trial in Charleston accused of killing a police officer says he will not testify in his own defense. Law enforcement officers from across the nation were on hand for the funeral of a slain Nicholas County deputy Wednesday evening in Summersville. Governor Justice says any consideration of a special session to temporarily reduce the gasoline tax is off the table, even as prices in West Virginia cross five-dollars a gallon. The President of the state Board of Education wants a thorough review of the school safety plans for all 55 West Virginia counties.
