MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Cabell Midland rising senior lineman Shawn Rouse has made his college choice. A week after receiving an offer from Marshall University, Rouse gave his verbal commitment on Monday to join the Thundering Herd.

Rouse also holds Division I offers from James Madison, Eastern Kentucky and Murray State. He is a 6-foot-5, 265-pound offensive and defensive lineman for the Knights. Cabell Midland went 11-2 in 2021 and the Knights advanced to the Class AAA semifinals. Rouse was selected to the Mountain State Athletic Conference first team roster in his junior season.
