Preston County man could face charges in second death

KINGWOOD, W.Va. — A convicted murderer in Preston County could face additional charges in connection with a body pulled from a remote pond nearly two years ago.

Andrew Prudnick, 30, of Albright, was convicted in May of first degree murder in the killing of Ryan Sines. According to police, Prudnick he is also a suspect in the death of Todd Saunders.

Prudnick’s girlfriend, Ashlee Saunders was given immunity and told police Prudnick murdered her father in September 2020 and dumped his body in the pond. The body of Todd Saunders was recovered in October 2020.

Prudnick is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail following the conviction in the murder of Sines. The information about the Todd Saunders’ killing has been forwarded to the Preston County Prosecutor’s Office.

Prudnick is scheduled to be sentenced in the Sines murder on Sept. 7 at 1 p.m.
