CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — One of three federal inmates charged in the beating death of notorious gangster Whitey Bulger will be arraigned Friday in federal court in Clarksburg.
Sean McKinnon, 36, was one of three former Hazelton Prison inmates who were recently indicted in connection with Bulger’s October 2018 death.
U.S. District Judge Thomas Kleeh is scheduled to arraign McKinnon at 11 a.m. on charges of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
McKinnon will be represented by Assistant Federal Public Defender Katy Cimino.
McKinnon is accused of being a lookout while Freddy Geas and Paul J. DeCologero beat Bulger to death shortly after arriving at Hazelton.
No hearings have been scheduled for Geas and DeCologero at this time.
