MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A Monongalia County man is now charged with murder in connection with a body found at the scene of a Tuesday morning wreck.
Monongalia County deputies obtained an an arrest warrant on murder charges for Chance Austin Williams Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies allege Williams, 23, of Morgantown, killed Jamey Lynn Corbin, 47, of Fairmont.
Deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle accident at the intersection of Greenbag Road and Luckey Lane at just after 4 a.m. Tuesday. Deputies said Corbin, believed to be driving the car, was dead at the scene, but deputies determined the accident did not cause his death.
It’s believed Williams was in the wreck and fled the scene.
The sheriff’s department said Williams is considered armed and dangerous. He was last seen on foot in the area of White Ave. and Marilla Park.
