State police charged Rodney Brian Dobbins, 48, of Frametown, after finding his wife, Donna Kay Dobbins, dead on Monday.

State troopers and Braxton County deputies arrived at the Dobbins home and found Rodney Dobbins outside the residence with a kitchen knife in his hand. His wife was on the ground covered in blood, authorities said.

Troopers said Dobbins put the blade to his own neck before dropping it. He’s being held in the Central Regional Jail without bail.
