MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia and Ohio State will share the court in Cleveland on December 30 as the two schools will meet for the first time since 2019. The matchup was announced on Wednesday. The game location and time will be revealed at a later date.
Intersport, a Chicago-based sports marketing and events agency that manages numerous early season college basketball events, announced the matchup. Intersport also manages the Fort Myers Tip-Off, which West Virginia has been selected to compete in. That tournament is set for November.
This will be the 18th meeting between the Mountaineers and the Buckeyes. OSU owns a 9-8 advantage in the series. WVU defeated Ohio State in 2019 at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, 67-59.
