WVU secures commitment from former Kentucky DL Tomiwa Durojaiye

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The WVU football coaching staff has made another addition to their defensive roster through the transfer portal. Former Kentucky defensive lineman Tomiwa Durojaiye announced his verbal commitment to join the Mountaineers on Thursday.

Durojaiye saw minimal game action in his true freshman season at UK in 2022. He has four years of eligibility remaining. Durojaiye entered the transfer portal following the end of Kentucky’s spring drills. He also visited Colorado last week.

Durojaiye is a 6-foot-4, 278-pound defensive lineman and was previously recruited out of Middletown High School in Delaware. He was named the 2021 Delaware 3A Defensive Player of the Year by the Delaware Interscholastic Football Coaches Association after helped Middletown claim the 2021 DIAA Class 3A title
