Police release more information about deadly Fairmont wreck

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Police released more information Thursday about a fatal crash that happened earlier this week in Fairmont.

Fairmont police said Sandra Wyont, 54, was killed in the Tuesday morning crash after the car she was riding in failed to stop at the intersection of Locust Avenue and Oakwood Road. The car was struck by another vehicle causing it to roll over, police said.

The intersection was closed for about two hours during the investigation.

No citations have been issued.

The investigation is ongoing.
