MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The furnishings from the former John Chambers School of Business and Economic Building on the downtown WVU campus in Morgantown will be auctioned Wednesday, July 5, by Joe R. Pyle Auctions.
Auctioneer Jordan Kiger said the auction will be held online.

“All the bidding will take place on our website at JoeRPyleAuctions.com,” Kiger said. “We do have a preview at the facility on Friday, June 30 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.—that’s an open preview.”
The auction includes area rugs, office desks and chairs, swivel chairs, office cubicles, metal and wooden filing cabinets, and high-back executive chairs and desks.
“The desks are being sold individually, but for a lot of the executive chairs, you might be able to pick up three or four for one bid,” Kiger said. “Some of the credenzas and filing cabinets, you can place bids on multiples of those as well.”
Kiger expects businesses and individuals to make purchases for business or private use and said there will be opportunities to purchase single items or multiples.
“Folks just might be looking for some chairs for their game room, or folks might be looking for additional chairs for a small business, or anything in between,” Kiger said.
Kiger believes many of the thousands of students, faculty, or staff will come and possibly purchase things that will play a role in their future development.
“Folks might think, Kiger said. I remember sitting in front of that professor in the early 2000s, and we had that intricate discussion about my future.”
