Hurricane junior receiver Tyshawn Dues commits to WVU

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia’s recruiting Class of 2025 begins with an in-state verbal commitment. Hurricane junior wide receiver/defensive back Tyshawn Dues announced his pledge to become a Mountaineer Sunday afternoon.

Dues led the Redskins with 38 receptions for 761 yards and 9 touchdowns last season as a sophomore. He helped the Redskins to a 10-3 record and a spot in the Class AAA state semifinals.

In four games this season, Dues has reeled in 10 passes for 199 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Dues received a scholarship offer from WVU on July 27. He also holds Division I offers from Akron, Eastern Kentucky, Kent State, Marshall and Miami (Oh.).
