One dead in Preston County fire

TUNNELTON, W.Va. — The state Fire Marshal’s Office reports a 30-year-old man died in a fire in the Tunnelton area over the weekend.

Firefighters were called to the home Saturday and found the body in the residence.

The body of the victim has been sent to the West Virginia Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and positive identification.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
