Cabell deputy suffers minor injuries in cruiser collision

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — A Cabell County sheriff’s deputy was injured Friday night when his cruiser crashed into another cruiser.

Authorities said the deputies were responding to a fleeing shoplifter at Walmart.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Alternate 10 and Route 60.

The deputy, who suffered minor injuries, had to be cut out of the wreckage.

Authorities did arrest the shoplifter.
