CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — West Virginia practiced for an hour and-a-half Thursday afternoon inside the University of North Carolina’s Boshamer Stadium as the Mountaineers make final preparations for the first appearance in a super regional series.
Game 1 is set for 6 p.m. Friday and Game 2 will be played at 8 p.m. Saturday.
In the series opener, WVU (36-22) will start Derek Clark on the mound, while UNC (45-14) will look to Shea Sprague on the mound in an effort to get the No. 4 national seed off to a strong start in the series.
