HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Four individuals are in custody and police seized a sizeable haul of drugs, money, and guns in a warrant sweep through the city of Huntington.
The sweep was performed by the Huntington Violent Crime Task Force in coordination with local law enforcement and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. Officers did a surprise raid on ten separate locations in Huntington on Friday.
Officers say they were able to locate four wanted individuals. They are identified as Matthew Adam Parker Jr, 24, Kendrail Terrance Berry, 30, and Jamal Lamar Honeycutt, 21, all of Detroit, Michigan and Kelmin Marcell Patton, 29, of Newport News, Virginia. The men were wanted on an array of charges. Parker, Berry and Patton were all charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, while Honeycutt faces one misdemeanor of possession.
Officers also managed to seize over four pounds of crystal methamphetamines, a pound and a half of heroin and fentanyl, an unknown number of finished and pressed fentanyl pills, plus guns and close to $50,000 in cash.
The sweep was part of an ongoing investigation into drug activity controlled out of Detroit in the Huntington area. More arrests are expected from the investigation.
