Monongalia County deputies investigate deadly shooting

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department is on the hunt for a suspect involved in a deadly shooting that occurred early Thursday morning outside of Morgantown.

Deputies responded to a call for a shooting on Mountain Valley Drive at around 1:40 a.m. where they found a man was found with a gunshot wound.

According to a news release, the man was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents of Mountain Valley Drive near the 9000 building with any information or video to contact the department at 304-291-7260.
