Emmy love continues: WVRC Video scores again for Pony League broadcast

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — WVRC Video, the powerhouse behind the broadcast of the Pony League World Series, has once again earned the prestigious honor of a regional Emmy nomination.

This marks the third time the company has been nominated for its exceptional coverage of the youth baseball tournament. The 2024 tournament is from Aug. 9-14 in Washington, PA.

Formerly known as Pikewood Creative, WVRC Video has built a formidable reputation in the industry, winning five regional Emmys and 10 nominations for their work across sports, documentaries, and commercials. Their consistent success is a reflection of their dedication to storytelling and innovation in sports broadcasting.

The Pony League World Series is a special event, and we’re proud to be able to share these young athletes’ stories with a wider audience.”

President and Chairman of World Series Tournaments, Inc., Nathan Voytek, shared his enthusiasm, saying, “WVRC Video’s Emmy nomination is well-deserved recognition for their outstanding work. Their broadcasts bring the excitement and spirit of the Pony League World Series to life.”

The tournament includes international teams from Mexico, Spain, Chinese Taipei, and Puerto Rico. Teams from California, New York, Michigan, Texas, and Pennsylvania will also take part in the double-elimination tournament.

All 19 games will be available to watch at PLWS.org with select games airing on the MetroNews Television app. SportsNet Pittsburgh will air ten games, including the championship on Aug. 14 at 7:30 p.m.

The 42nd annual Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards will be handed out on Sept. 21 in Pittsburgh, PA.
