Former council member appointed interim city manager in Beckley

BECKLEY, W.Va. — Former Beckley City Councilwoman Ann Worley is the city’s interim city manager.

Worley was chosen by council in a special meeting Wednesday morning to replace former interim City Manager Billie Trump who retired last week.

Council is set to interview the four finalists for a permanent city manager on Sept. 14.

Beckley switched to a city manager form of government earlier this year.
