Two suspects in custody after police chase on Route 2

MASON COUNTY, W.Va.— Two “armed and dangerous” accused suspects were apprehended after they led police on a vehicle pursuit along Route 2 early Monday morning in Mason County.

According to a social media post from the Mason County Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Managment, Brandon Clark Burton and an unidentified female were taken into custody after the chase resulted in a crash and downed utility lines.

Emergency personnel said that they fled on foot which led to a voluntary shelter in place, which has since been lifted.

No injuries were reported.
