HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — A West Virginia man accused of stabbing an elementary school principal in Ohio will have his case sent over to a grand jury for further decision.
Joshua Collins, 43, of Huntington had his preliminary hearing Tuesday morning where the judge found there was enough evidence for the case.
Collins was arraigned on Friday for felony charges that include attempted murder and assault. This is in connection to the October 24 stabbing of South Point Elementary School Principal Bill Christian.
Lawrence County Sheriffs report that Collins had been “upset over a child custody issue” when he entered the school that day and went by the front office. They said Christian met Collins in the hall outside the office and Collins allegedly pulled a knife from his pocket as the two men were talking and stabbed Christian in the neck and upper torso.
Collins bond remains at $1,000,000.
