Friends and family turn out to remember teen fire victim

MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va. — Family, friends, and classmates of a Marshall County teenager turned out for a candlelight vigil Wednesday night to spotlight the light they say he shined in everybody’s life.

Dozens were on hand at the Grand Vue Park overlook to remember Carter Trowbridge. The 16-year old John Marshall HIgh School student died in a hosue fire in Moundsville last week.

Friend dressed in his favorite color, blue, and shared stories about how he often impacted everybody he met.

A lot of Carter’s friends and family want to use the tragedy to to prevent future tragedies. They’re hoping to use his death to raise awareness about fire safety in the home.
