Crews respond propane-related fire at Kingwood Walmart

KINGWOOD, W.Va. — A Tuesday night fire at the Walmart in Kingwood started as propane leak in a cage area outside the store.

Crews responded to a report of a propane leak at 8:55 p.m. and remained on the scene until about 10 p.m.

Those in the building were evacuated and no injuries were reported.

The cause is under investigation.

The Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department, Reedsville Volunteer Fire Department, Albright Volunteer Fire Department, Tunnelton Volunteer Fire Department, KAMP Ambulance and the Monongalia County Hazmat Team responded to the scene.
