Skier dies in Tucker County

DAVIS, W.Va. — A skier has died at Timberline Mountain resort in Tucker County.

Via social media, the resort said the skier died on Wednesday, the investigation into the incident is ongoing, and no further information will be released.

We are heartbroken to share the news of a fatality of a guest while skiing at Timberline Mountain on Wednesday, March 12th. We want to express our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones affected by this tragedy.

The incident remains under investigation. We ask for the community’s understanding that out of respect for the family, we have no further details to share.

We are immensely grateful to our ski patrol, staff, and local first responders for their swift and professional efforts. Our thoughts are with all those impacted by this devastating event.
