Logan County fire claims woman’s life

UPDATE, 5:15 p.m. — The West Virginia Fire Marshal’s Office has identified the victim of a Tuesday morning fatal fire in Logan County.

Vicki Lynn Dengler, 67, of Logan, was found lying on the floor unconscious and unresponsive in the back of a residence on Yuma Camp Road.

Dengler was pronounced dead at Logan Regional Medical Center.

 

LOGAN, W.Va. — The body of a woman was found following a morning house fire in Logan County.

Investigators said the blaze broke out about 6:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Yuma Road just outside the Logan city limits.

The victim’s name hasn’t been released and her body has been sent to the state Medical Examiner’s office. Paramedics with the Logan Fire  Department attempted life saving procedures on the woman, but were unsuccessful. She was found at the back of the house

A cause for the blaze is under investigation by the state Fire Marshal’s Office.
